Y'all hear about Paula Dean?

Postby Scott. » Wed Jun 26, 2013 9:09 pm

My mom as telling me all about this earlier. Seems pretty dumb to me. All this uproar over one word she said 20 years ago?

I heard that Food Network took her off the air also.

What's even dumber is that all she did was admit to saying it 20 years ago, it's not like she just said it last week

Yep. Anything to bring a celebrity down.

It's easy to pull products from the shelf. She also has restaurants in several of the Harrah's casinos. I wonder if they will make a change soon...

This country has to learn what to worry about.

Good news is, I read that her product sales are up even though she lost a lot of sponsors/partnerships. I think the cruise associated with her added another date due to demand... so looks like some people realize that this is really not a big riggin deal

On a funny note, I had a football coach in High School that called 'em "Non-swimmers."

I fail to see the problem, it is a word. I use words to describe people and sometimes they are vulgar. I guess I am going to be damned to hell.

People that are scared of words need to go back to elementary and have some little kid tell them about sticks and stones.

I was not only using the word in the 60's. It was supposedly recently, and there is also a law suit against her and her brother for harrasment and something else in the work place...

Society is full of little butt-hurt ninny-wiggins. One of the few women who WANTS to be in the kitchen and we're pushing her out. Shame on you society, shame on you.

She must be the only person in South Carolina's history to get in trouble for using that word.

Sad state that people these days feel that being offended entitles them to anything at all. We need to get the butt-hurt reports circulating.

Just made the mistake of reading some NY times article over the uproar after her appearance on the Today show this week. Apparently libtards are upset, not just because the N word 20 years ago thing, but because she said on the show that she thinks people are less racist in the south....

I've been making that claim my whole life. Most of the towns we live in in the South are primarily black and we've grown up around good black folks our whole life. You go some places in other parts of the country (New England, Colorado, parts of the Midwest for example) and it's not like that at all.

The food network pulled her show, and replaced it with Giada. I love Giada

Lets rephrase this.

You my friend love Giada's boobies. As do I.

However, I personally would rather eat what Paula has to offer....Food that is.

I know the picture is not to scale, but based on her surroundings, I am going to call those a good solid D cup with at least 6 7/8" worth of cleavage. And something going on below that counter that we are unaware of.
