According to the most recent meeting the word is that they are set to start dove season on Sept 1, 2013 (Sunday) this year due to the fact federal regulations forbid dove season start before this date. They also stated they feel it will give more people the ability to hunt, since that is also Labor Day weekend. You can actually go to the AGFC website and participate in a poll stating whether you are ok with the Sept 1 start date, or if you'd rather it begin the next Saturday (Sept 7). Anyway, since it isn't duck season, and dove is the next closest thing just wanted to kick the coals and see what you guys' thoughts were.

Open the season as soon as the law allows, moving dates later to accommodate the casual hunter that doesn't care enough to call in sick, penalizes those of us that do.

sept 7 will probably be the opener for early teal. may give some a choice....for me, I will be shooting the blue winged rockets!!!
