Used to be. There are still some quail way south of me. There are released birds but there isn't a wild population in the counties I hunt. I think there are some over by baker.

Out here there are some areas that are managed by 'pheasants forever' and if you buy a tag to hunt some of that ground, you agree to kill any ferel cats, skunks or racoons that you see while out hunting. Why? Because all 3 of those sumbeeches are hell on pheasant nests.

Cool!

I had a german short haired pointer that was a pretty efficient cat killer, but she got her arse handed to her on a couple of occasions by racoons, then she just started avoiding them altogether.
