Concealment in chisel plow corn fields?

Postby Black Smoke » Fri Jul 12, 2013 7:27 am

I want to hear how everyone conceals blinds in a chisel plowed field? I encounter plenty of them during my season and I wanted to know if anyone had any tricks of the trade and im not scared to work my ashe off to get it done.

If you can, dig down. However, hunting the edge isnt a bad idea eithier. I have hunted fields where the day before a group couldn't get geese within 100 yards and the next day my group sets up on the edge with our layout blinds actually in the grass and shoot our limit and get out before all the birds show up. Most guys think you gotta be right where the birds want to be in the field; however, experiance has told me other wise.

What if there is no grass on the field line and the field is surrounded by properties that I cannot hunt? Any suggestions? Btw, that is all we do when we come to a chisel plowed field is dig the blinds in but we came to one last year that was muddy and couldn't so we mudded them.

Try hiding just your body, instead of 25 sqft of aluminum and fabric with you "comfortably" in it.
