Zink COD or MoneyMaker, what would you pick?

Postby Goosebuster72 » Sat Jul 13, 2013 5:35 am

What would be the better choice for meat calling between the Zink COD or the money maker.. And does the new current money makers have the new broken in guts? I've noticed the moneymakers sound breaks easy when you cluck on it . Does the cod break a little harder ..

I would go with the COD just because I can't stand the bell on the insert.

i had a COD couldn't make it sound like a Canada for the life of me had it 2 years traded it for a duck call
If the ocean was made of WHISKEY and I was a DUCK I'd swim to the bottom and get all F!@#% up!

I sat and worked on calling with both.. The cod I could not get any good sounds out of it but the moneymaker sounded pretty good. I finally chose the moneymaker..

FYI the zink naughty by nature is the longer than the cod or $ maker so it's a little more forgiving to throw out a bad note or two

The NOS(Nightmare on Stage) is longer, but the Naughty by Nature is about 4" tall.

I find you get more crack with the C.O.D. using an un-shaved reed but I still like the broken in tone board.

I tried a COD at Cabelas, it felt really cheap and "thin", kinda flimsy... Not as near as sturdy as my SR-1... I could see the COD cracking at the bottom of my blind bag

If I were to get any Zink goose call I'd go with the NBN. I've ran them all and that's the only one that I would consider putting on my lanyard but none of them even compare to a tim grounds goose call .
