Mossy Oak Duck Blind replaced?

Postby QuackkAddictsTX » Sat Jul 20, 2013 9:42 am

So is Mossy Oak Shadow Grass replacing Mossy Oak Duck Blind? In all the new catalogs and online, it's all MOSG and MODB is nowhere to be found?

I'm not a fan. Too grassy for the terrain I typically hunt. To me it's like Max4 on steroids! I'll stick with MODB, Max4, and my all time favorite Bottomland.

MOSGB replaced Duck Blind, hence the reason all of the major distributors (Wing Supply, Macks, etc.) had big sales on Duck Blind.

Yeah, won't be good for the guys that hunt timber. If you but reeds or cat tails it's a really good looking pattern IMO. I'm kind of pissed that they discontinued MODB though. All of my gear is in that pattern. I'm not really hung up on all of my stuff matching like some of the other guys but still was nice to have the option.

Duck blind is perfect for me. I hope it's not being phased out. I like bottomlands a lot too but can never find it.

I just got a sweatshirt from cabelas in the new Shadow Grass Blades, it is a ton more lighter than the MAX-4 but it looks great against cattails and reeds, This pattern would not work well in timber but everything else it seems like it would work.

I'm happy with it. Kinda a happy medium between kw-1 and Adv. Wetlands. Reminds me of Skyline Fall Flight minus the cartoon looks. Naturally hunt more grass so pretty excited!

I love the new SG Blades pattern. It's much lighter than DB. At a distance most patterns turn black,I'm curious to see how blades does. Just picked up a hat in blades from Wally World for $2.97.

Am I following correctly that Duck Blind is replaced? I really like MODB. I feel like it is pretty versatile.

I am concerned that the new Blades is too much cattails. Any experience with it in fields or other non-cattail specific locations? Max-4 is OK, but never felt real confident with it as an all around pattern.

Thanks for posting these photos. When looking at this view there is marginal difference between Max-4 and the original Blades.

When mudded in, they look almost identical. But then again so does any camo pattern when mudded. I still think blades is a unique pattern. Is it as universal as MODB? No, but it'll look good where i hunt.
