Kansas Statewide Duck Season Projections

Postby duckdozer » Thu Jul 25, 2013 8:04 pm

Projected seasons update.

Ducks statewide open to pansies and oosr's Oct 3-Dec8 no spit because you all cry when the water is "locked up" anyways why have a split..... Water NEVER thaws out. We know that you do not know how to properly scout, because you can’t find birds when the marshes "lock up". Spinners are a requirement, and a minimum of 8 per spread. All hunters must incorporate 1 Duck Commander call, 1 Drake clothing, and 1 banded gear into their spread or rig. Face paint is a requirement. Hevi-metal is the only shot that will be allowed during this season. Shots are limited to no closer than 65yds. Minimum hunt time is 4 hrs of light because birds stale out on nice patches of weather and do not feed. Shell minimums 4 boxes and 3.5" for those real tall shots.

Ducks statewide open to real men and women that are tough enough to grind it out, Nov 15-Jan 31 No spilt because you guys actually scout and can find birds even when the water is "locked up." No Drake, Banded or Duck Commander Gear will be allowed during this season. Spinners are limited to 2 per spread unless hunting dry land then all spinner rules are out. Face paint is optional but frowned upon. Any non-tox is permitted. Shots are limited to no further than 25yds. Maximum hunting time is 4 hours because birds are hungry and feed, if you can’t get your limit in 4 hrs you need to quit or go scout again. Shell maximums 15 shells your choice because you work them close you don’t need more than 3 per bird.

All in all this pretty much sums up how the Kansas seasons go and how they should go from here on out, you should be able to buy a license for one or the other. Adapt and Conquer

I see that the cigar rule is missing as well. We all know that once a cigar is lit, the birds will pick that exact time to dive bomb your spread. (similar to the sandwich rule) Or maybe that should remain a secret ?

4 months left and counting !

You forgot the singing in the duck blind rule. Its on page 47 of Elmer McFudds Duck Blind Rules for Dummies. Its states every person in the duck blind must sing a song at least twice during the days hunt.
If you're there for the limit, you're there for the wrong reason
