3 1/2 inch shell in 3 inch chamber-a400 xplor action

Postby Steez1024 » Sun Aug 04, 2013 12:27 pm

Hello
I had a 3 1/2 inch shell in my ammo sack and accidentally shot it through my a400 xplor action. It went through but obviously was a huge mistake. Do I need to get it checked out? It shot fine after and there are no visible differences with the gun. Any help is appreciated

not sure about 3.5 in a 3
but have heard of guys firing a 3" in a 2 3/4" without any lasting effects.

If the gun is still in one piece, it's probably okay.
Especially if it is a 3.5" gun.......

My A400 Xplor has a 3 1/2 chamber, I never shoot 3 1/2 shells, but it wouldn't be a problem.

Italian guns are proofed for so much strength that I wouldn't be worried. I sure as heck wouldn't do it again but you should be good to go having done it once

I just don't think he knows what he has. That gun will shoot 3 1/2" shells.

Guys you need to do research before you chime in, they come in 3 inch only as well.
