homemade layout blinds

Postby Cupped-n-Committed » Mon Dec 13, 2004 7:14 am

Does anyone have any home made layout blinds? I have been using a kids plastic snow tabogan and camo net as a blind. It works great laying in the ditch we hunt. I want to start taking the dog to train him and was looking to make an easy portable blind that maybe him or me and him could use.

Ideas?

Seems you and I would get a long well ! We both enjoy making our own hunting things !!

Here is a link to a blind I made this fall.

If you go to http://home.cogeco.ca/~waterfowler/plans.html you find some other plans as well but the one above is the only one that I have made.

Heres a better picture of it after a morning hunt.

to be honest I never weighed it. Its not that heavy really but sometimes hard to carry it as well as a bag of decoys, gun and so on....

Think I'm going to redo some of it for next season to make make it a bit lighter.

Then entire blind cost me maybe $25.00 as the wood and burlap I had around the house.
