Just a bit

Last year we bagged a little over 100 opening day. If Matt comes out to hunt I am gonna show him a place that'll give him a heart attack

Ok...I'm hunting tomorrow and Monday with my kids & dog. Nothing against anyone, but people I've never hunted can't hunt around my kids and dog.

With that said, next weekend is open. I may hunt private or public,,,depends on where the dove are. If you or anyone else in the area want to get together for a hunt I'll scout out the best places.

I'm very easy to get along with, but safety is huge to me. You may need the public land permit, and after seeing your new boat you'll need it anyway.

If you have a rifle bring it also...I have some pigs and coons that need to go!

Nope! I was spot on. I never had much luck there. Been 3 times and only killed 5 or 6 birds there, but then again I never have been on opening morning. Good luck. Looks like they are there now. The one on the south side of SA had good numbers last year but I have not seen it this year.

Well, I hope y'all shot plenty doves!

Yesterday afternoon I went over to my honey hole to figure out where to set up...had plenty birds flying, and picked the spot pretty quick.

After picking the spot I decided I had enough time to tear down an old deer blind...not smart when you have on flip flops. I was almost done when a "sharp" pice of wood decided it was gonna fall on top of my foot.

Long story short, I got home at 8:30 and the wife finally talked me into going to the ER just after midnight. A TB shot and a few stitches later I returned home. I guess the doves had a guardian angel.

I should be ready to go by next weekend as long as I don't have anymore stupid ideas!

We did decent for public shot 6 with 2 more that I smacked hard that were finished by one or more of the numerous hunters on the unit.

Still waiting on the south zone.........
I could hunt public around here for central but from my experience those areas are all junk. Glad you got on some.
