Explosion of Waterfowl

Postby SquadIrons » Wed Aug 21, 2013 8:54 am

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed a HUGE increase in duck and goose numbers literally overnight? Just driving around yesterday I saw more ducks and geese on the waters in my area that I think I did last winter. Is it just that time of year when the migration begins?

Strictly a figment of your imagination. The far majority of "fowlers" should just stay home all season and leave the "slim pickings" to those of us with nothing better to do. :lol3:

I don't know...even today I saw two flocks of geese and several flocks of ducks flying at different times of the day. Maybe I'm just losing it.

I've been noticing more flocks than usual flying especially on bluebird days,

yup, noticed it on the lakes near me. Happens every year. The last days nothing! 40-50 mallards, 30-40 geese and now nothing.
