Vaseline

Postby Wobbling Wings Waterfowling » Wed Aug 21, 2013 9:43 am

How many people rub Vaseline on their drake mallard heads to give them a shine? I heard of this before but was wondering if it was really a good idea...?

It's a great idea. It'll give your buddies something to laugh about while they're drinking coffee and your over there in the corner polishing all the drake heads.

I think it is just like sending a private for chem light batteries, or a tube of liquid squelch for the radio.

no im serious.. I have read this before... I think even on ducks unlimited... I thought it sounded "odd" as well but just making sure ... thought I was missing something here. No serious answers as usual.

I would say thanks but none of you have seriously replied so I am done here.

In addition to adding "extra sheen for the lookers"...it also says Vaseline repels dirt...Thats just a flat out lie right there. Sounds like some great advice to me. The wax ring trick to patch the hole in your boat made me lol. I'm sure we're all going out in the morning to buy a wax ring to throw in our boat kit now, lol

Dude...the best advice I saw on there was only call to tips/tails.
