Olympic National Park Questions

Postby Cougar125 » Sun Aug 25, 2013 4:54 am

Ok. I'm coming home from deployment and am looking for ideas of things I could do with the wife over a 3 day weekend. I'm thinking we could go to Olympic National Park for the weekend, but I've never been there and have no ideas as to what to expect. I know some of you have great ideas or experience with the area, so it is your brains I'm trying to pick.

What is there to do on the peninsula that would make for a great weekend?

Thanks for your help.

have lunch in Kalaloch, walk the beach and on the Coast highway look for a sign that says :"Big Tree" and turn there.

Good to have you back Cougar, and thank you for your service to our country. We'll still have to hook up for that Marsh Rat hunt, if I can find one!! My favorite spots in ONP are Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake, pretty much any area of the coast on the HWY 101 corridor. It's a beautiful place with a ton of real estate to explore.

Olympic game farm in sequim is fun. Buy lots of bread and don't let the buffalo surround your car. :)

Avoid the area at all cost.
Seems the last few years the peninsula has become over run with vampires and HUGE wolves.

BTT...

Another friend of mine was telling me about the game farm. In Sequim?

Hurricane Ridge and Crescent Lake are also repeat referrals that I may be looking into.
