Well... due to Thanksgiving the Rambler didn't show till Saturday  (the joys of being in the middle of nowhere!) Most of my hunting is done middle of the week so I wasn't able to get out Sat or Sunday... So I did a photo shoot with the rambler... I included for everyone following me a 4x6 copy of the picture and a 5x7 for ScaupHunter sorry I could not contribute to the body count this year I guess next year I'll have to make sure it's not around Holiday... The Rambler will be headed out first thing in the morning heading to DUCKSPY... Shoot straight and take care of the Rambler!

That is an awesome photo. I will frame it and put it up above the rambler when I get it back in hand, The Rambler is going on the hunting memories shelf after season.

HOWDY BOYS....
JUST GOT BACK FROM POST OFFICE,NO RAMBLER YET.........

ITS BEEN LIMITS OF BULL SPRIG AND A FEW OTHER DUCKS AND GEESE,EVERY DAY THIS WEEK,IF YOU CAN WAIT THEM OUT......

ITS VERY COLD FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA RICE FIELDS,WITH THE PONDS FREEZEING OVER NIGHT,IF THE WIND DOEST BLOW,AND ITS GOING TO SNOW FRIDAY IF YOU BELIEVE THE WEATHERMAN,......SO ALL OF THE BIG FAT DUCKS WILL HAVE TO START MOVING AROUND IN THE DAY TIME,SO WE CAN GET AFTER THEM,INSTEAD OF THEM SLEEPING IN THE CLOSED ZONES ALL DAY AND PARTYING ALL NIGHT.......

WHEN I GET THE RAMBLER>>>>>>THERE WILL BE FILM AT 11......AS RON BURGANDY WOULD SAY....

Looking forward to it Duckspy. I might have to go down and pick it up from the post office. Roads are all iced out here. Hopefully my spots aren't froze shut, but I will get her out either way.

If you can't get in touch with him before it's too late to ship, I'd say hunt it a second weekend unless you have a trustworthy member in your area that you can hand it off to. This is just my .02 cents since I have nothing to do with this decoy.

Don't know when first hunt will happen yet. The hunting conditions have been meager by all reports.
AKPirate is scheduled to hunt with us Monday and, Tuesday plans for a WMA hunt including Tealer.

Was able to sneak out for a few hours this morning to try a short hunt/scout.
I think the rambler is not fond of the 0'dark thirty start.

Image

Only managed to scratch out one bill on the longlines. It was kind of the wrong tide and there weren't a lot of birds moving around.

Image

Oh, almost forgot. Clyde says to tell all his friends here on DHC "Hi!" :hi:

Image

Hoping to find birds this weekend for me and AKPirate to stack. Have a hunt planned for Tuesday with Tealer and AKPirate. Will overnight the deek to BBBD after the hunt on Tuesday. Wish us luck.
