What few blues that haven't already flown down around the Gulf will be gone for sure after it hits the upper forties here tomorrow night!

Not like I asked for your spot - I asked if you had any luck scouting and seeing birds - so much for asking a simple question I guess

Scouting is for the have nots' I guess for I hunt weather fronts and winds during the push South part of the season . Fixed blind hunting is all about being at the spot when the bird flies through with a inviting spread and a unseen blind . True that there is a need to have something moving birds so scout away but know that the scouting before the season is pushing birds out of here .
Teal hunting is for wing shooters and your time now should be on doves or clays while shooting your steel duck load .
(OT)Another mistake hunters make during this time of year is scout out a legal spot to hunt then worry that another will find it a run get a blind tag and build a blind .IMO buy the tag and nail it to a post and float hunt the spot this year , if it's a good spot build a blind next summer and license it come July 1ST .

The hardest thing a duck hunter in Va. has to do is to Not read more into the blind laws then what is in black and white . Lewdog 1999
