What about bandtails?

Postby QH's Paw » Sun Sep 08, 2013 12:28 am

Well, anybody gonna hunt them this season?
I've been seeing them in larger numbers each year for the past few years and, this year, they are everywhere I've been looking.
I just hope the rain hasn't pushed them too hard.
For the past 5 seasons, I've been in WY during the week they are open so, I'm pretty pumped about getting after them. I've even been looking over my old Bandtail deeks and thinking about how to set a few in some high fir boughs.
I have lots of great memories from my childhood going along with my dad and uncle, when the limit was 10 a day and, they'd roll in to a field like a dark storm cloud. Hopefully, these growing numbers will, at some point, return us to those type of hunting days again.
