on our way to Niagara Falls

Postby Huntfish12 » Sun Sep 08, 2013 4:46 pm

So the girlfriend and I are taking our only vacation of the year and we're headed up to see the falls. Was wondering if anyone could recommend some things to do in the couple days that we're there. Staying on the Canada side also. Thanks in advance

Canada has great waterfowl hunting. Show her who's boss now.

Be sure to take LOT's of money with you. You will need it. Maid of the Mist boat ride is a good time. The wax museums are there and I believe there is a botanical garden to see there also. Traffic is insane around the falls.......have fun.

Not sure when you are coming up. However if you are going to do the tourist thing you can buy a pass that you will be able to do several sites. You would get these at a Niagara Parks location.

There are 2 Casinos in the Falls as well. I Happen to work at both of them, I am a sous chef there (middle management)

Early goose season is here until the 15th, an daily bag limit is 10. If you are going to do some hunting. I am heading out on vacation myself or I would have maybe set you up for a morning/evening goose hunt on some properties I have permission on.

Anyways, if you want more info, send me a PM.

Figures, ... we got back yesterday. i would have loved to do that. We did get the passes and did all the tourist attractions. Such a beautiful place. every picture i took could be the cover of a post card. i will say though that one or two days is plenty. nothing really changes..its a lotta water going over a cliff..constantly. by the 3rd day i was ready for a change of pace. all in all had a great time, but glad to be home.
