Mississippi river

Postby madmanduck » Sun Sep 08, 2013 8:30 pm

Hey guys, just curious if anyone hunts the river around the cape girardeau area? I've only hunted it once but spent some time scouting it over the years. I've seen ducks and geese using it but never in large numbers. From what i hear the bird use it more if it gets real cold. just curious if anyone does any good out there?
nothing beats the sight of birds working the dekes!!!

I would get out their and scout. When everything else freezes up I hear it can be good. Find some sloughs or get behind some wing dikes. Good luck.
