Where are the ducks?

Postby hunter for life » Tue Dec 28, 2004 12:11 pm

I from the southern illinois area and we're just about completely froze up with the exception of some deep strip pits. I was wondering if the southern states have been getting loaded up with ducks yet or if there are any ducks north of me to look forward to seeing. Our season goes out in a couple of weeks and i was just wondering if there was any way I was going to get any more decent hunts in. We should be thawing out this week b/c its supposed to be above freezing for most of the week.

We got some mallards and canadas up in michigan. They are concentrated on any open water. Lots of years they never leave, though.
