Saw about 50 but morning was ruined by some a $$ hole in fishing bay that blew by me @ 3am in a tiny pond to get 60 yards ahead of me. So they cut us off. The more disappointing part is that they had multiple groups in the decoys and never fired a shot due to paying zero attention. But when we had birds working the would take 40 + yrd shots.. we ended up with one bwt

Well that's encouraging to hear. Grata on the one bird, problem with hunting public land.

The teal I had last week didn't show up this morning. Saw plenty of big ducks though.

I got all set up by 6:10 and sat in my blind watching the beautiful day emerge until 8:30 when I packed up and left without seeing a teal . I mean zero teal . I did see 15 black ducks and a couple of woodies. I didn't even here a shot from anywhere in the marsh , even on public land. Congrates on your 1 teal though and I feel for your outrage with the holes in the other boat that soured your day. I will go out again wed. or thur.. Good luck to all . PS If anyone goes out and sees a boat load of teal give a shout out so we know the migration is really on .

Usually I am focusing on geese and deer this early in the season, but I had the duck itch, so I went down to Deal Island for my first teal hunt. We only saw 3-4 teal. No shots. Only heard 5 or so shots all morning.

Right there with you guys. We shot 3 green wings Monday afternoon, but that all that came by. Heard very few shots. Went out this am all the water blew out inched across a mud flat ate my prop up. There must have been a 2 1/2 foot tide change this am. When I set up this am the pond had 8-12inches of water, but within an hour my decoys were sitting sideways on the mud. I new I was in trouble.

OOO IF SOMEONE FINDS 2 GHG pro-grade BWT hens they are mine. HAHA. After getting off that flat, there was no water left at all on the pond. Had to leave them behind.

Went out again today and didn't see a teal . Thought the relatively cool weather might push them down . Only saw a couple of black ducks and 2 woodies. I didn't hear a shot fired at Blackwater Wildlife Refuge . It's just depressing.

Dang, that sucks. I was thinking about making the drive Wednesday, but I don't know now. I may stick to geese....this was my hunt today.
