I still have the iPhone 4 because Verizon has told me that if I want to keep my unlimited data plan I have to buy new phones at full retail value. I've held strong for a year past the expiration of my contract now, but I want a 5 pretty bad.

Usually if you know someone that works at Verizon they can hook it up and keep the unlimited data on your new phone. I don't hang out with dorks so I didn't get to keep it.

Not the last time, but the time before that that I upgraded, my battery life went from about 10 hours to about 2 hours. When the next update seemed to "fix" that problem, I stopped updating. Don't fix it if ain't broke.

Or I can give up my unlimited data and get the upgrade for the discounted price.

It's not worth loosing the unlimited... just buy a refurbished one.

I don't have an Iphone but when my phone updated it slowed WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY down. verizon service on LG Spectrum phone. It does what I want. pretty much.
There were a couple things I noticed that were different that I liked but had no idea what all got changed or what kinda sneaky gubment crap they snuck in there.

I tried to avoid upgrading by shutting phone off but it kept hounding me and finally it simply did it. No choice.
Not happy but what can you do? They got a contract...contract...contract.

Craigslist. Buddy has both his parents on their plan and they're in their 70s so have flip phones only. He gets 3 upgrades at the same time so buys 1 for himself, sells one on craigslist $100 cheaper new in box which lets him have a free phone everytime, and saves the last upgrade for later.

You need to get in the cloud *****
Buy it, use it, break it, fix it,
Trash it, change it, mail - upgrade it,
Charge it, point it, zoom it, press it,
Snap it, work it, quick - erase it,
Write it, cut it, paste it, save it,
Load it, check it, quick - rewrite it,
Plug it, play it, burn it

If you can't find it, you probably don't need any bells and whistles which it may possibly provide.

I still have my 4 for the same reason. When they come out with something that really wows me ill consider giving up the unlimited data but the 5s definitely won't make me do it.

That's how mine looks.

My technology sucks. My iPhone 5 is a POS. My Sirius Satallite radio takes 20 minutes to turn on in the morning. My WiFi continuously cuts in an out. My DirecTV receiver is so slow, doesn't change channels sometimes and the subtitles don't work. W. T. F. am I paying for?

I'm pissed. Mine automatically updated last night (allegedly). I still think the wife did it, but she won't fess up, because she sees how mad I am. The background and font style is extremely hard for my old eyes to read. Overall, I'm pissed.

I'm holding out on the update. Most of my apps have likely not been updated yet, so to update would render my phone almost unusable.

Has tapatalk been updated?
