Transporting ducks from AK

Postby glass eye » Sun Sep 22, 2013 7:34 pm

I'm planning a trip to Adak. I want to bring skins home for taxidermy with no carcass or meat on them.
Question: How do I prove I didn't "wanton waste" the breast' ?

From all the for sale stuff I see on taxi.net, all the Alaska birds always sell with breast removed so same situation. Very good question though, just couldn't envision it coming up on the trip back to CA. Only thing you could do I suppose is take pictures of you cooking them up  I always skin my birds prior to travel whether I'm returning from Peru or New Mexico for space and weight convenience and never had any issues. Did you come back with those black swan, paradise shelducks, etc full body?

Eric
It's not just a bird mount, it's a Schmitty Bird Mount
