Started my build last night and the book says order 19 feet of 6oz cloth. Is this enough for 3 coats on the bottom and 2 coats on the top. Is 2 gal of resin enough? I have read through the old posts and everyone says how much they spent, but not how much they ordered.

I haven't build a Kara but I just finished a 9 ft long hybrid. I think you are underestimating your resin amount. I used 2.25 gallons on my boat, but I'd built one before and managed to keep my waste low. If you are planning on putting down one layer of glass and then filling the weave with a top coat or two you'll probably need more than that, especially if you are inexperienced and end up wasting some of it. Due to the high cost of shipping resin it is better to have too much than too little, plus you can use the extra after the season for any needed repairs.
