Teal, Pinners, & Scaup Foamers

Postby ScaupHunter » Wed Sep 25, 2013 10:21 am

I have been staying busy working up a large foamer spread over the off season. Time has been of the essence. I sold off all my plastic decoys at the end of last season. Here are some pictures of the results. I still have to touch up around the eyes, clear coat the decoys, and they will be ready to hunt.

They all look great !
I'd say that I like the Teal and the Pintail the best.
Good luck hunting them !

Thanks.

This is my first run at painting decoys over a restle coat finish. It made me realize I have a lot to learn about painting! I am sure I will improve on my painting skills as I get further through the spread.

I am planning to get a full spread of cast gunners, then switch over to carving wood decoys with the goal of working up presentation grade decoys to use as house decorations around my place.

I believe they'll get the job done.

Nice looking birds
