Harlequins

Postby montana quackhead » Sun Dec 10, 2006 8:37 pm

Just curious how prevelant those harlequins are up there! I see them around MT, but only during the spring when they are doing their thing. Plus, I think it's illegal for us to shoot em'. Would love to have one mounted one of these days.
Give me some quack and I'll never work again

we could limit out on them in southeast some days, we don't shoot more then one or two a day though.
thanks to the men and woman of the United States Coast Guard- without them I would not be here.

Quite a few up here I think out of staters can take 5 per year and residents can take 5 per day. Kodiak is probably your best bet.

Non-res can only take 4 per year.

They are one of my favorite birds to mount.

I am a Bird Taxidermist here in Alaska and you CAN NOT sell migratory birds unless they are pen-raised and have all the paperwork.
There are afew breeders out there who have them but they run about 2,500 to 3,000 $.
Book a hunt with akduckhunts.com and you have a great chance at Harlequins.
