Card Chokes/Turkey Chokes

Postby Fowlweather_13 » Fri Sep 27, 2013 8:06 am

We have a weekly Card/Turkey shoot in my home town has any body got any info on these super tight Card chokes I seen one for my gun the was .635 with a standard full at .700 and stated that you could not shoot anything bigger than a # 6 through it. We shoot 40 yds with the cheapest 7 1/2 or 8 shoot that the club can buy at wal mart at a piece of paper 8 X 10 inches with a X drawn in the center of the paper and the shooter who gets a pellet closest to the center of the X wins a Ham, turkey, or half bag of oysters. I have seen several brands of these Card or super tight turkey chokes claiming to put 70 plus percent of the shell in a piece of paper at 40 yds.

I've no experience with them myself but here's what Kicks offers-

With these only # 8 or 9 shot is recommended.
