I am coming from minnesota to hunt the last few days of the season and was wondering if the duck numbers are up or down in this area. Have private land south of rend lake that i will be hunting with flooded rice and millet fields and also some flooded timber. Also wondering about ice conditions and how local areas are looking. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. I was going to head down to rend this weekend if there was ducks. I hear there is no ice but i dont know about the ducks. They do have lots of water.

I have hunted rend for the past two days and let me say it is awfull. Saturday I hunted stake 4 and killed two mallards. Tuesday I hunted stake 4 again and never fired a shot. If I had somewhere else to go I would, but there are people killing ducks just not many. Today seemed better but was not worth the trip.
