Ex-patriated Michigander missing home state hunting

Postby BootsUpDucks2121 » Sat Sep 28, 2013 7:55 pm

What I wouldn't give to be back in the Mitten for duck season. Stuck in Erie,PA which has decent hunting but I don't have the gear necessary to hunt the big water. How are things looking this year ? Water levels up, hopefully ? I know where I used to hunt on Wildfowl Bay it was miserable the last time I was home. Hoping to get back for Thanksgiving to do some late season mallard shooting. So the real question is this, what is everyone gunning for this year ??? Best of luck this year fellas.

Water is up from last year but not by much. Seems to be a decent number of local birds around, and the south season is pushed a week from normal so we should get mostly migration hunting which is what we all like. Should be a good season. Time will tell
