A good miss...

Postby R-Factor » Fri Oct 04, 2013 7:36 am

While typically I'd hate to miss the first few days of duck here in the north zone, this year I did just that. My girlfriend's daughter, Sydney, was drawn for a moose permit and off we went to the North Maine Woods. While we didn't find the big bulls like in seasons past, we did find Sydney a nice young bull that she could proudly put her tag on. Her "guide" (yours truly) struggled the first few days putting her on a close shot, but finally Thursday morning she placed the killing shot on this critter and she was absolutely pumped. Good job Sydney!

Congrats to her & you! Any legal moose is a good moose in my book, way to go and it'll probably eat better too!

:lol3: I was wondering when somebody would inquire on the boots...should have known the keen eyes of a fowl hunter on here would pick those out...you know, they blend in so well.
