I have only bought one, and so far it didn't suck. How do you want me to tell you about this? It is the Banded one. It took some modifications so it worked good though. If you are interested more I can let you know what worked.

Build your own and if it sucks it will be your fault and then you can't blame someone else.

The only boat ladder I've used was homemade out of 2" PVC and a rectangle of astro turf covered plexiglass. Held up to years of use by a 60-some pound dog, but had some give and might not handle a substantially heavier one.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

The dog I use is size XXXL. He can put his paws on your shoulders and give you a tongue-kiss.
He is a brute to look at. His greetings are intense but if you don't back down he will accept you into the pack.
Fear him and he'll terrorize you from then on. If accepted...he turns into a teddy bear.
Feed him or pet him and he will guard and protect you.
He's a keeper.

There is no dog ladder he wont break.

I'm going to try making one tonight when I get off work. I've got a metal folding chair that I'm going to chop the legs off of and hang off the back of the boat.

Sent from my space modulator.

Perhaps a lab in place of the Great Dane as a hunting companion would help.
