women's waders

Postby Chewy » Sat Oct 05, 2013 3:44 pm

So my wife wants to hunt more often and would like her own pair of waders that fits right! What are the recommendations out there? I have always been a cabelas fan but I would also like something super warm for the November hunts and didn't see a whole lot of choices on their website in that category. What are all the ladies using? She is pretty small at 5'1 and 135 lbs. Don't tell her i let her weight out of the bag!!!!

I'm also in the same boat trying to get some for the girlfriend. She is around the same size and is there a brand made just for women or do the kids waders work and save you some money?

Being that short, kids waders might be the way to go. My wife has a pair from cabelas that she wears and likes them but she is 5'8". She had a kids pair before and just weren't too comfortable but her legs were too long and the inseams in the waders were too short. I know columbia makes a pair also.

my wife is 5'0 and 110 lbs, she went the kids wader route. she ended up trying on a lot of waders before she found a pair she liked. But she ended up with a pair of pro line youth 3.5 fishing waders. they have 400 grams in the boot which isnt a lot but good quality socks make up for it.
