HEY! I had 2 dog pics in my last set...

i'll play a little

best spot for a dog. At home.

My oldest thinks that bringing dogs on a hunt leads to light straps, prolly cause he won't stop playing with them. He sends his best.

quack, did your Brit take a lot of training? Only started hunting last year, but I have a just over 1 yr. pup. I take him out to the fields by my house in Rio Rancho for exercise and he chases the Dove's out there until he's about dead. Have been thinking about training him for hunting...

No need to offend my dog by calling her a Brittany...she's a Springer

Just giving you a hard time. She has been the easiest dog I've had to train so far, by a long shot. You should definitely get that pup of yours hunting. It's a lot better with a dog. If the quail start showing back up out here, I'm thinking that a Brit is going to be my next dog actually. Good luck with yours.

It is getting close, might even be water in the rio. Can't believe my dog is almost 9, seems like I just got her.

Thanks for the compliment, but no, my buddy shot that one and it still had some pin feathers that wouldn't have worked out. He was definitely one of the best I've seen in hand though.. I've got one in the freezer from last year that looks almost as good, and depending on what I kill the rest of the year, he's going to birdman(hopefully with one or two other birds).I'm going to leave that spot alone until later in the year and try for a trophy hunt when my buddy comes out in January.

As much as I would like to own another dog, I must admit not having the guts to love another one so much as the last. I had to put her down because of bone cancer. That fateful day was in 1998 and I'll never forget, but you guys sure do have a whole bunch to be proud of in your responsibility as owners of animals always faithful, loving unconditionally, and eager to please.

We just had to put our older lab, Sunny, down on Thursday. Admittedly, it was perhaps the most difficult decision I've ever had to make. But I do take solace in the fact that she loved, and was loved by all she met, and she left an indelible mark on me and my family that will shine on forever. Her suffering has ended, and even though we're all heartbroken, we know she's in a better place.

The Honorable Sunshine Worthington, we hardly knew ye.

Sorry for your loss buddy. Losing a dog isn't something I would wish on anyone. At least you've still got your brown girl.

Thanks qa...Sunny was more of a house dog than a hunter, but damn we miss her something fierce. Coco's doing a dang good job making us feel better though.

House dogs are just as important as hunting dogs. Nothing wrong with just a good ol dog.
