Gotcha.

It seems like you know the risks of using the expanding foam and are going to try and avoid them.

Yea, I def know the foam will hold water, but at the same time it should be minimal. I'm ocd about a clean finished edge andt his is the only way I know how to accomplish that.

I made templates and made my cuts at an angle so the flooring would drop right in. Minimal gap

Not a lot going, I have the paint and bed liner ready to go but have to wait on weather. Chance of rain today and tomorrow keeps me from bed lining.

Here's the only updates.

Spray in liner for foam protection

Floor installed, and foam around edges. I'll be cutting the foam flush and was only installed to give a flush edge so I can seal the inside.

How thick is the ply you used for the floor?

Inside will be painted, but I had a boat with the same stuff in it and it really didn't retain the heat like you would think. It was cooler to the touch than aluminum that's for sure.

Ran the boat today, gotta be honest a 50 tiller is intimidating riding solo on a low tide where I was running. That thing has some serious torque.

I'd like to get the stenciling done tomorrow but I think I'll have to put it off until the first of next week. Once that's done and I rewire it will be basically done. I've got a running list of small ad ons but they're peanuts compared to the paint/electrical.

Just ease into it. You will get a feel for the boat and motor and how it handles and you will build your confidence over time

Yea I know, it will take some time. I'm not a guy that takes a lot of risks esp when it comes to boat/vehicles. I've ran tillers, but not a lot. Its much different sitting down with a tiller than sitting up on a leaning post kicked back driving with my feet! Haha.

Boat paint is 90% done. Just have to touch up a few spots, add some highlights and paint inside.

Here's the step by step pictures and the "90% complete " pictures

Have you done any stencil on the inside yet?

Nope, haven't got that far yet. My buddy was painting his at the same time, so we swapped out using the fire dept bay all day. It was blowing 20-25 NE today, inside painting was the only option.

I didn't have the GPS on while I was running but when I bought it we were hitting 34 and that was loaded down with extra junk that I pulled out. I'm guessing I was running 36-37?

Minus the motor, and some small touch up spots the paint is complete.
