Ideal Number of hunters in a spread.

Postby Duck Hunter Dave » Wed Oct 09, 2013 7:32 am

I have about 400 snow goose decoys in total that I have handmade. Roughly, 200 deadly decoy style wind socks. 100 Texas rags. 40 silhouettes. A bunch of flyers and a jumpers. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on the ideal number of hunters over my size spread. I was thinking 2 to 3 was likely best but I am curious on other people thoughts of having as many as 6 hunters in a group for snows.

Decoy numbers don't really have a lot to do with the number of hunters, other than how fast you can put them out.
How well you can hide and when/where you are hunting is more indicative of how many guys you can run in a spread. Juvies in a cut corn field? You could put out 250 decoys and hide 12 layout blinds...
