Which 15' Boat?

Postby K Williams » Sat Oct 12, 2013 11:35 am

Which 15' aluminum duck boats do you recommend? I want one that is strong, well made, with a V hull. Something that would be good for tidal wetlands...saltwater duck hunting. Also, please recommend engine types/sizes... Thank you.

Weldbilt 1548V 25 HP 2. stroke Yamaha. It's also an all welded Arkansas built boat.

I like the looks of the phowler 1544 extreme. Couldn't get any response in two inquires. Seems like it would run shallow waters and big open water. I

$9000 at the most. I'm thinking War Eagle or Xpress so far.

You should consider TDB classic 14 those other boats will not hide well on LI salt marsh. Boats like the southbay or barneget bay sneak box are designed to hunt salt marsh with their lower profile.

The camo 15' Crawdad is a very cool boat. Lots of features for the money. I have a 1542V camo with floor and pod seats. Amazing amount of room for a small boat.

Give me something low-profile, easy to modify, wide, flat bottomed and side console driven. Other than that I like the Prodrive self bailing boats
