Lares T-1 is a timber call, the A5 is and open water call, and the hybrid is a blend of the two. Do I have this right? Can some one help explain what calls these are the closest too. As far as amount of air, ease of running it, ect. For example the A5 is similar to a RNT original. I'd hate to drop money on one and not like it.

Honestly, Lares calls are just different. You are pretty much spot on with each call's attributes however they all can get loud but the T-1 has the best low end IMHO. Honestly, start with a Hybrid. It has the top end of the A-5 but the low end of the T-1. The A-5 is loud but doesn't have the T-1 low end. They are VERY raspy and if you put lots of voice in them, they will be very shattery. Blow clean air (like fogging up glasses)

X2...and FYI acrylic is $142. If you want wood, it will cost more. $225 for most half wood/half acrylic calls. Hedge and acrylic is $165 I believe. Best thing to do is call Joe (4-5 PM PST)...it gives you an excuse to talk to the Wizard
