Last day of october

Postby KAhunter » Mon Oct 14, 2013 11:00 am

Anyone get out this morning?? Went with a buddy and we had an awesome hunt. Killed 4 pintail 3 mallards, 4 teal and a wood duck. Nice to have a hunt that actually felt like a duck hunt after hunting 4 85 degree days in carolina during the october season down there

Its always duck season, there is just a long break from february to september.

I hunted Saturday. We shot a few and saw several. Nothing great, but it was a nice day to be out there and then ended up at the Sach Brown Concert, front row from a friend. Great concert.
Cheers

Goose you got a buddy?
Went all day Saturday. Swamped it AM, marshed it PM. It stopped raining on the paddle out, super high tide was incoming, very cloudy, windy, and felt like rain the whole time but it never rained again till sun went down.

My brother and I hunted yesterday and killed two teal. It was great to finally have the Rain stop. That was the first time either of us has seen teal, much less killed one. BecAuse of college breaks in thr past few years, we have been primarily late season diver/mallard/goose junkies. It was nice to be out in a tee shirt and see some new species. Can't wait til November rolls around. Til then, it's time to chase what remains of specks and pups.
