This is the one year being in the central zone I'll say maybe an early opener would have been good. We are just covered in wood ducks and my land where the duck hunting is usually pretty below average hunting is just covered in woodies on our ponds and flying around. We have some good flocks of geese that moved in too and a few mallards here and there. It kills me seeing them all fly around in shooting range here while I'm deer hunting...

We are due!! I live right on the river in hennepin across from the big lump of duck clubs. Been seeing a lot of geese. Im surrounded by about10000 acres of wetlands within 15 miles.

I got hundreds of woodies in the area, better than killing a bunch of divers and spoonies like those morons on the river do. But yea I'm a field hunter for mallards so on the 24th I'll wish it was longer.

Shows how much he knows about the river. Some of them city folk are ignorant to the actual birds on the river. Last year the majority of what I killed on the miss was wood ducks, mallards, and teal.
