Migration Update

Postby Airwolf » Tue Oct 15, 2013 11:46 am

Hey there. I was wondering if ya'll could tell me what the bird numbers were looking like at Stillwater NWR. If anybody has hunted it yet this season, and if it would be worth driving from Hiko to come shoot some birds. I was there last year, and it was pretty decent shooting but I know this year there is a lot less water. Any feedback would be highly appreciated. I would be coming up next weekend the 26 I think it is. Thanks guys.

Government shutdown means NWR is closed until further notice.

It's closed but initial water reports are dismal. Only 3 ponds with water (Tule, Millens, and Willow). Haven't heard any bird numbers.
