Depending on where you are hunting, that could be a good spread. Most of us who have been hunting for years have hundreds of decoys for every situation and probably too many (Just dont tell my wife). I always say match the hatch. A fly fishing term meaning match what you have been seeing while scouting as related to duck hunting. If you are on a small pond, only a few. If hunting the marsh on a larger section of water, you may need a few more and add some geese too. Add decoys each year as you learn what is in your area. Ringneck (Divers) do hit small ponds. If you are seeing them, put out a few to draw them in range.
Good luck and no questions are too dumb.
Big Iron's new best friend. If anyone wants an 8x10 autographed glossy picture of us together, just let us know.
I'm thinking about starting another chapter of Northern VA Delta Waterfail with my best friends up here.
