This happened in Sonoma. What on Earth were those guy thinking? I hope this was just a tragic mistake instead of a case of hyper overreaction.

Im sure the deputy was thinking, "Holy crap, this person is going to shoot me with an AK47". Did you even see the pellet gun the kid was carrying? Also, additional info says the kid was high on marijuana...That might of clouded his judgement.

Friend of mine told me today that if it ever did go to trial it would be an easy win for the cop's attorney. All he'd have to do is walk over to the exhibit table then quickly grab the AK-47 BB gun, wheel around and point it at the jury. I imagine most of them, even knowing for sure its a bb gun, would flinch some. I told him that it would probably be a good idea for the attorney to tell the bailiff that he was going to do that since the bailiffs are armed.

I blame the parents- again..
I do remember hearing about the sheriffs who recently killed a woman at her doorstep because she was wielding a deadly--- baseball bat!
Is this true?
