New person to the property. They were never shown the blind just a rough sketch. They were part of a different club. They ended up picking everything up and taking it back to their club house. Get to go grab it tomorrow.

Trying to give them the benifit of the doubt and let it go as a honest mistake. I am just to stoked to get all of our gear back. With this current weather coming through I just want to get out. There were tons of birds in the area today as well.

My confusion was the word 'it' ( which to me didn't sound like he was referring to 600 decoys, chairs, gear )
I thought there was maybe more to the story.

I hope he finds everything

I had posted his situation on another forum and will be happy to hear all the equipment gets returned by whoever it was that took them.

They were new guys on a new property. Instead of making a right to their blind they made a left and landed on ours. They thought someone was setting up In their ( my) blind. They picked up all the gear and packed it in the barn. It was there first time out there and were never shown the blind in person. They were really sorry so I am chalking it up as a honest mistake.

That's not an honest mistake. Who in their right mind goes to a blind that's already set up and removes everything and damages your property by removing the lock. There's no way I would ever do that without contacting the manager and finding out what the deal is. If it were me I would sit on the tail gate and watch them put every decoy back in its proper location. If not the police would be called. That's not a mistake that's stupidity.

That's like buying a house and showing up to your neighbors house and kicking the door in and taking all their personal property out. Who cares if they still had the property...I mean its great you found it all but the time wasted and stress is worth at least making them be your personal decoy biatch for a day.
Take a kid hunting,

Maybe it's just me but wouldn't the wise thing to do in that situation be to call the club manager and make sure you're in the right place rather than pick up a few hundred decoys first??

Every thing was locked in the pit still. It not liked they picked our spread up outbid the water.

I would have called the manager first to try and figure out what the hell is going on.
I got all my stuff back so I am not to worried about it now. Just pissed I have to set it all up in a flooded field now. That will be fun later today. At least it's not hot out so I won't sweat my buns off

Can people really be that stupid? Packing off someones gear to another club will get you severely beat or shot in a lot of places. Regardless of what the "miscommunication" was, I'm guessing they thought they scored some sweet new gear...

After you thank them kindly for returning your gear make sure you tell them that at their club there is no limit on the wonderfuly tasting cormerants and seaguls, and also remind them due to crop depravation they can shoot 2 hours after dark. :fingerhead:
