Stoeger M3500 recoil reducer installation?

Postby TxSwampStomper » Sun Oct 27, 2013 12:13 pm

Whats the easiest way to install the recoil reducer in? Hands are a little big to fit in there and I could imagine I'd get a little frustrated trying to do it with a flat head screwdriver lol

Not sure what having big hands would have to do with installing a recoil reducer. I am guessing your talking the one that goes in the stock? You just remove the nut and screw it in place. It will pretty much align itself once you place it in the stock. Do not drop it in as you can damage the threads. Just place it in gently and tighten it down. If yours has a lock washer, a small dab of grease will keep it stuck to the reducer as you place it down in the stock.

Point the butt of the stock down and screw the reducer up. I understand your troubles. It is frustrating especially with the washer.

Is the reducer necessary? I have a 3500 and shoot without it.

I don't use it for ducks. Once in a great while for goose loads. Gun is already heavy enough.
