Bigfoot sale?

Postby Blake1403 » Sun Oct 27, 2013 7:37 pm

Did I miss the cabelas sale when the big foots are $119/6? Or is it later in the year?

I doubt you will see them $119/6 . Decoy prices have increase about $10 per 6 in each of the last 3-4 years. $119 was last years price. You almost have to watch the Cabela's site daily to catch it.

I'm assuming its because Bigfoot didn't make any money when Cabelas sold them for that price...

That makes zero sense. Cabelas places order, bigfoot fulfills order and invoices cabelas, most likely for a unit price well under $119 a box, and cabelas cuts a check. Decoys are cabelas' to sell as they please.

I predict the $119 price will be back, but late in the season. It has been every year since the B2s launches. If the $129 price shows up, I might pull the trigger.

I don't think they will get to $119 again...... I believe last year they had their regular retail price listed as $169... This year it is $189........

I remember seeing them at $129 one time early this season and $139 is the cheapest I've seen them since.

Correct. Cabelas raises the original price on everything to make it look like it's on sale even more. It will be $119 again before the seasons are done. I am willing to bet a six pack on. Six pack of B2s that is. Let me know if you are in.

Those are Originals though. The Originals can be found for $100 a four pack if you know where to look. And that's a normal price for the retailer.

It will be $119 again. Who wants to place bets? I'm serious. No one has taken me up on the offer.

I still think $129 will be the lowest. Cabela's wasn't the only retailer that increased prices on decoys since last year so I don't think it is a marketing ploy. Last year $129 was the most common sale price with them dipping down to $119 on a couple of occassions. This year $139 seems to be the common sale price and I have only seen them dip down to $129 once, suggesting that iF last years pattern is followed $129 will be rock bottom.

Cabelas sells chinese made big foots. Cabelas sends the order to clinton which is relayed to china. decoys come from china straight to cabelas' warehouse. They are not made by clinton decoy company and they have very little to do with it. They are pretty much cabela's decoy with bigfoot name on them. Art at clinton decoy tried to sell the chinese ones for a few years and nobody would buy them because of paint issues, so he sold off that side of the business to cabelas.
Why do I shoot 3.5" for geese? Because they don't make a 4" yet!

Beg to differ. Clinton has their name on B2s. They might be made in China, but out sourcing manufacturing doesn't mean they have nothing to do with it.

I can tell you thats probably wrong I bought 3 dozen B2 decoys last year and had an issue with two of the heads. I did not even bother phoning Cabelas back I went straight to Big Foot and had two replacement heads in the mail in a few days no questions asked. If Cabelas was 100% behind B2 then why would Big Foot be replacing my parts ?

Cabelas is simply the exclusive retailer of the B2 line. Still a bigfoot brand and you still get bigfoot's customer service supporting the line.
