Let's post some pictures of the spoils from this year. I'm going out for my first hunt of the year tomorrow and hoping I can contribute to the thread with some good ones, but would love to see everybody' else's as well.

Took my chances at Schell this weekend and got in on Sunday. Didn't slay 'em but had a good time. Got a drake shoveler and a hen GWT.

My boy's first time out. Middle zone opener. He wasn't shooting, but had a blast helping me put decoys out and retrieve the ducks.

Interesting choice of camo, but if it works it works!

Haha, yeah, I don't think I would have gotten many if I had been wearing that as my outer layer while hunting.

Just for you, swampy. Notice the key 3rd and 4th duck, to round out a limit.

Ya you a bootlip killer and a hen killer. I dont shoot hens either just to let you know moduckkiller. They get the same pass as bootlips in my books. Im not much on killing egg layers. Or use them spinning wing things like in the back of your truck.

I read that same article. Look at all the species that killing the hens is not regulated, they are doing just as well, some better, than the Mallards. You can't blame Chiken, some people just feel that way about it. I know some deer hunters that refuse to kill does even though it doesn't hurt the herd and sometimes it is necessary to help it. They will kill a little puny spike, or a nice 6 point that would have made a spectacular buck in a few years, but won't kill a nice fat doe. I got no qualms with killing the legal limit of hens.

You're slippin there chiken, didn't you notice in the "Spoonie" thread that the kid was wearing facepaint in one of the pictures? You forgot to gig him on that one while you were on your self-righteous, judgemental little critique of him and his hunting habits. Way to foster harmony amoung hunters and give incouragement to the people that, like it or not, are the future of the sport we enjoy. Even if in your mind you think you are trying to "teach" him something about passing on the hens, which as you can see he knows there is no proof that it helps anything, you have a poor way of attempting to do it. As far as passing on the "trash ducks", that is nothing but more opinion and judgement on your part. Nothing more.
