Young sprig or albino going on?

Postby PetriDuck » Sun Nov 03, 2013 8:43 pm

Buddy shot this sprig, we are not sure what to make of it. We figure that it was a young bird out of plumage or albino colors going on. Pretty neat regardless.

Looks blonde (leucistic) to me. I'm no expert, but that would be my opinion. Cool bird

Very cool!! Definitely a leusistic pintail drake. I know it's not but, it looks like a fulvous whistling duck with that pigmentation.

Holy crap that's the cleanest truck bed I've ever seen!!!
Trust me. 8 hours in a pond with leaky waders, to not fire a single shot... Is still better than work.

Judging by the cleanest truck bed I've seen and the park duck inside, I would say you were hunting you local city park? Just kidding, very cool bird. Anyone know the statistics on those birds. 1 per 10000????

As stated in one of my previous posts it does have some of the same colors as a fulvous whistling duck even though it is not.

Privileged hunter, back to your bird ID books... That is a drake pintail, Look at the bill

Looks like a young drake with a lot of mineral/rust stain on it. Looks kind of dark for a leucistic bird. Maybe a storm pintail.LOL
Unique looking bird to say the least. Back end looks too dark . Going to go with the rust stain from the water.

A mallard and a leucistic pintail are swimming down the river when all of a sudden the mallard shouts "OMG THERES A DEAD DUCK"

The leucistic pintail looks up in the sky and shouts "WHERE? WHERE?
