City geese

Postby Washburn88 » Tue Nov 05, 2013 3:53 pm

Been seeing lots in the pond behind the place I'm staying in Boston. Finally got a chance to go take a walk... First time I've ever seen a neck band. Stopped counting at ten with leg bands and two with neck bands because it was too frustrating  makes being stuck in the city that much worse. Oh well will just make next season that much better!

Banded geese taste better and are superior in every way. So worth fretting about. @

Hey Betty, I appreciate the sarcasm but meant more that I was frustrated about being stuck in the city and not able to hunt, the bands just added to it. Not really fretting, Just thought it was cool to see all the bands in one flock.

Idk if it's true or not but I heard a couple guys got arrested for using a gas powered leaf blower

Unfortunately yes it is.

I don't know if that link will work but all you have to do is google "brookline leaf blower arrest" and it'll pop up on boston.com. A buddy of mine lives down that way and posted it in the Mass forum. I hunt with him as much as I can during their season when I have to work down that way or any other time we can sync our schedules into January and February and you definitely have to watch your p's & q's!

Bread soaked in beer. After they've eaten a couple of pieces they'll follow you right into your room :hammer:

Get well soon
Preserve game, use a well trained retriever.

Have to be careful, or you'll decoy a lot more than geese in Boston (myself included). :sarcmark:
