eclipse drakes?

Postby jjohnson_714 » Sun Nov 10, 2013 7:08 pm

So Casey and I went out Saturday, and we got 2 eclipse redheads, an eclipse ringneck, and an eclipse mallard. Has anyone else noticed this at all? Was it a late spring?

Mallards and widgeon we have seen in the area are all mature, as was the one redhead I have taken this year.

Definitely a weird start to the season. Shot a BWT after the opener, have shot widgeon, teal, mallard, ringers and divers already (we normally don't see divers for another month) and I saw 3k bluebills on a rest lake this weekend.

The migration has started but it feels like teal have lost the pole position.

Seems some are early, others are late. I know I'm ready to take all these fruity calls off my lanyard and get down to business...
