The War on Drugs is an Epic Failure

Postby WTN10 » Fri Nov 15, 2013 2:40 pm

And this just highlights the injustice of it all.

The problem here, is not drugs, no, the problem is overreaching judges and prosecutors not punishing when appropriate.

The problem is not attacking the source. Cutting off a hydras heads never solved the problem. You have to kill the beast at it's heart. We are spending billions on the chopping off heads that are immediately replaced. As for feeling bad for drug runners. Not a chance. I don't care how noble your cause is. The ends do not justify the means. Giving someone a life sentence is preposterous. Either use a realistic time length or execute them.

Is this even controversial any more?
A politician thinks of the next election; a statesman of the next generation. A politician looks for the success of his party; a statesman for that of the country. The statesman wished to steer, while the politician was satisfied to drift.

It has been ongoing since Vietnam, and quite possibly all the way back to Korea. Air America anyone?

I'm actually really surprised congress hasn't taken any meaningful action on this.

So, are you saying that Sharonda P. Jones doesn't belong in prison?
