surprised at how clean it's healing up. lucky is an understatement. if the cane kife had ricocheted 5 inches to the left, it could've gotten hairy.

sterile suture kits just made the camp supply list. :crying:

What's wrong with dental floss and a hook off the trot line?

thanks grizz... I was hoping to stack up about 100# of catfish and take a picture, but Woods hand injury derailed that plan.

Oh- one other noteworthy mention....
Our buddy made a live catfish box out of 1 1/2" PVC and some coated crawfish trap wire. He added a door, some floats and a tie off rope to it...they had nowhere to put it at our buddies camp, so we put it at ours (we can slide it under our deck in the front since we have a shorter 24' pontoon in the middle there.)

Anyways, the box was sitting on the boat as we were rigging it up to put it in the water. A boat drives by and asks-"What's the cage for?", I respond without missing a beat, "We are doing a live action nutria cage fight to the death tonight. Bring plenty of money and beer and you can join us!" :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:

Guess I should've added the sarcmark. Good deal on the nurse though. That schit adds up at the doc office.

Sounds like bighop should be the camp doc....

That's a pretty nasty cut, glad it wasn't worse and ruin the hunt. What hospital did y'all go to?

We use these to cut line for surveying. Not as easy to use in close quarters, but much safer by keeping hands away from the blade. Can also be used for a walking stick, paddle, snake charmer, etc. We cut the hook part off of the blade and keep the straight edge sharp.

Also, the camp looked good - floating right side up & level.

Well that makes sense.

Kit has the tools, there's dozens of choices for suture depending on situation, so it's separate.

Looks like a great time with lots of ducks and good food.

We are a little shallow this year on our pilings, might need to swap out our 5' stand offs for 10 footers to kick the camp out into deeper water off the bank.

Should have just super glued the wound and stayed out there. Works as good as stitches and heals fast

Good point. Didn't think about it being on the inside part of the hand and all the flexing and bending of the fingers...
